$300 for cats - all ages and breeds
    other species vary!

  • FMN adopts our pets out statewide! We do require prospective families to travel to us in order to adopt. We do not ship, drive, etc any of our pets to any families. Families must travel to Fairbanks to meet with the pet and be approved to officially adopt.
Families that adopt outside of the Fairbanks area must be willing to help with transport and logistics to bring the pet back to Fairbanks if the adoption doesn’t work out.

    1. Pet joins FMN family! They are evaluated, placed in a foster home, and provided medical care.

    2. Once vetted for personality and medical needs, the pet is made available for adoption! All available pets are posted on our website and Facebook page! FMN does not accept applications prior to a pet being listed as available as it takes our time and attention away from our pets that are available and actively looking for homes.

    3. FMN accepts applications for newly available pets anywhere from 3-5 business days before starting the application review process. This timeline can vary depending on FMN’s volunteer schedule.

    4. FMN reviews ALL applications specifying the pet as the pet of interest and determines the best fit among all applicants. This is a hard decision to make as we are usually blessed to have several wonderful families to choose from for each pet. It is quite difficult to only choose 1!

    5. FMN calls selected family to schedule a meet and greet! All family member types (adult, kid, dog) are expected to be present at this meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along! There are exceptions made but must be communicated with FMN.

    6. If the meet and greet goes well, the family has the opportunity to adopt the pet!

    7. If the meet and greet doesn’t go as planned, FMN restarts the application review process (steps 4-6) until adopted!

  • FMN is an entirely volunteer ran rescue with a majority of our dogs staying in foster homes throughout the Fairbanks/North Pole area. Due to this, it takes a significant amount of coordination and effort to schedule a meet and greet time.

With this in mind, FMN only schedules meet and greets with approved and selected applicants! Please see “What is FMN’s adoption process?” for more info!
