Bailey!
1.5y female rough collie!
This long snout girl is the whole package! Beauty, brains, goofy vibes, and more We’ve absolutely loved having her in our care! She’s been a total gem! We’re excited to see her start her new life on the right path with a family that will love and care for her the way that she deserves
Bailey was originally at the FNSB Animal Shelter in summer of 2024, skinny with diarrhea. She was adopted for a short stint before another dog in the home attacked her and broke her back. Bailey was brought to the shelter for medical care and was on kennel rest and in recovery from August 2024 until March 12, 2025! She made a full recovery and was made available for adoption again! Unfortunately she was then returned AGAIN 2 weeks later for being “not trained enough” When I saw she was back, I didn’t hesitate and immediately called to adopt her.
Since being with me, I’ve noticed absolutely nothing wrong with her and have had no complaints. She is a young, herding dog with moderate energy that she uses appropriately She’s super cute and extremely sweet. What’s not to love?
Bailey has thankfully not shown any signs of being traumatized through her dog attack incident She is a happy, healthy pup who has loved every other dog she has met! I’ve been able to introduce her to Fred (our old beagle friend), my large golden Forrest, alllll nine of the cereal litter, and my other 3 personally owned small/medium dogs. She has become close friends with Forrest and loves to herd him through the yard and even allows him to chase her sometimes!
Bailey loves all humans and is always excited to make a new friend! She is always down to steal all of the pets and pats Bailey can get a bit anxious in the car (just whining and pacing, no motion sickness) but we have been working on this and desensitizing her to car rides! She’s learning that the car ride will never end at the shelter again
Bailey is still a young dog who has spent 1/3 of her life in recovery and on kennel rest. Her basic obedience is not all there but she is not a bad or crazy dog by any means She has been easy going in my house with no accidents and easily kenneled when needed. She loves to snuggle on the couch and watch me cook! She appears to only know “sit” right now but she is very food motivated and would love to join a doggy obedience class to expand her skills!
Bailey is looking for a home that will give her truly unconditional love! And she promises to pay it right back with extra kisses on top!
If you’re looking for a certificate good girl with long snout and lots of love to share, Bailey might be your girl!
