Poppy!

10 month old bully mix

Poppy (also known as Cinnamon) was part of our large flower litter from summer 2025. Poppy’s family was no longer able to continue to provide for her and decided to drop her off at the FNSB Animal Shelter without contacting the rescue for her return. We were luckily able to pull her and bring her back into rescue. FMN will always take any of our pets back into our care at any time. It is something we really believe in as a pillar of ethical rescue and is a part of our adoption contract. All of our pets’ microchips are linked to FMN as the guardian.

Our sweet Poppy is extra special to me as we took her in with a group of 17 puppies from the MatSu shelter and I personally helped bottle feed her and her siblings. I spent many sleepless nights doing everything I could to help these puppies succeed. Despite our best efforts, only 4 babies made it and they each will hold a special place in my heart forever.

Poppy has grown to be a sweet, playful, outgoing girl with lots of love to give! Her time at the shelter was stressful but after a day back at my house, she settled back into the groove and became part of the pack. With any intake with noted anxiety at any level, I like to move them to another foster home to assess and evaluate their transition into a new environment and routine. Poppy was antsy and unsure her first day in her current foster, clearly confused and missing her familiar human, routine, and environment, but she quickly settled and was back to her normal self after 24-48 hours <3

In our care, Poppy has been with kids, cats, and other dogs - and she has done well with them all! She would love to have a canine companion that can match her energy but it is not a requirement! She loves her people deeply, always eager to please and excited to be part of the family. Overall, Poppy is a lover girl who is ready for whatever adventure the day has in store for her - from roughhousing to snuggling to anything in between.

Poppy is kennel & potty trained! She is generally well behaved and is an easy keeper in the home! She is a young active pup that needs daily enrichment and stimulation to keep her mind and body happy. Poppy would benefit & would likely loooove to participate in obedience and/or other classes like agility or scent work!

Poppy is an incredibly sweet, loyal dog that is looking for a patient and active family ready to fill their days with love! If you’re looking for a certified good dog to be your adventure buddy for years to come, consider adoption Poppy!
