Eye Care Fund for Fishy Kittens!

Make it stand out

This week we welcomed a sweet trio of tiny kitty loves into our care Before joining us, the trio spent some time getting some much needed TLC with our friends at the MatSu Animal Shelter where they went from their before photo condition to their much improved current condition!

Even with unlimited hard work, time, and lots of medication, some wounds won’t ever fully heal

Halibut’s eye is the worst of the group so she spent her day with out vet team to assess and ensure proper protocols and pain management are followed. Unfortunately she will have to lose her eye

Salmon’s left eye is also concerning (but less noticeable) and they will get a formal exam soon. Based on photos, medical records, and informal discussion, it is most likely they will need to lose an eye as well

Cod is doing great for the time being and his eyes appear healthy! He will be under close observation to watch for any changes and ensure he stays this way

This Fishy Litter are still babies at just 6 weeks old and all barely 1lb! Halibut and Salmon will need to wait a bit until they’re 3lbs before we can do any surgeries.

Once they hit their goal weight we will have these done, but it will be spendy! We can expect at minimum $900/kitten (based on previous enucleations done, will request formal estimate before surgery!)

We have a little bit of time to raise this money but we will need it before the appt to be able to provide this specialized care.

These kittens are incredibly sweet with lots of love, big & loud purr machines, and strong biscuit making muscles. We want to help them stay happy and get to a healthy and pain-free life but we need some help to do it!
